3 Potential stories

For years, I have kept saying I was going to write short stories or a book.  I seem to have a few ideas but, for one reason or another, they float away and I regret it.  I am going to throw out three ideas.  Let me know which one wets your proverbial whistle.  I don’t think anyone reads this except myself and my two brothers but you never know.

1.  18 year old travels through time to look for family that has been stashed away in various historical time periods.  This would be for a younger crowd and teach kids about history.

2.  A ghost story using past experiences to create a story.

3.  Daddy and Baby:  Zombie Hunters….the title says it all.

    I like the first idea. Seems like a solid first take on that could lead to a series of short stories if done well. Walk into any Borders and you see tons of serialized YA books. I think young readers like to find something that if they like there is more to come back to.

    Personally, I think Daddy & Baby: Zombie Hunters has real potential. Both educational and fun for the beginning reader. And the fun continues when baby starts discussing the necessity of hollow point rounds and the importance of a "head shot" are at day care.

    Well Craig, we could always do a collaboration piece. Maybe a graphic novel called Daddy and Baby: Zombie Hunters. As far as Zach's comment, I have been thinking of the history idea for quite some time and have ideas for a series of them. The first one would be going back to revolutionary France.

    I'm up for that (as soon as I finish with our graphic for this site).

    I think we need a HOME button for the sidebar, though. Navigation on this site is a bit rough right now.

    I think the other idea is good too. The world is looking for its next J.K. Rowling. Who knew that would also happen to be a Derosby Brother?

    Of course I fully support the third idea as those of us who have played any Resident Evil type game would be aware of the skill it takes to take care of zombies. And those who made fun of us "Zombie hunters" will come running when the undead walk the Earth.

    On a more serious note, I really like the first idea. Would give young readers a serious look at history from the perspective of someone their own age and maybe get them to not look at is as simply past events.
