Wii Games for 2009

I thought Alan was just giving me a hard time, but apparently 2009 is going to be worse for Wii owners than I previously thought.

That is great. Those would probably sell pretty well in stores. But unless they come out with a new Legend of Zelda game this year, they might be hurting.

I would love to see the Wii continue its success. What worries me is that it caught fire as a novelty and at this point everyone is in the "What's next" phase. I know through speaking with kids that many of them don't even stand and actively participate in games like they did in the beginning, they simply sit on their couches and "flick their wrists" as I was told.

I know as an adult (ok that is up to personal interpretation) that I fully enjoyed the interactive aspect of the game experience, to the point where I thought for sure I blew my rotator cuff playing baseball against my nephew. But all that aside, did Nintendo look at long term plans or was the idea so fresh and new that they thought only of marketing the system? I'm assuming not since Nintendo has been a long-standing face of the gaming world, but my question now would be "what's next?"

I think Nintendo assumed the 3rd party guys would just get on board like they've always done. Why they didn't is anyone's guess. Is the Wii too different from the other two systems, making multi-platform conversion difficult?

Personally, I think the 3rd party suppliers "farted in their general direction". Being the paranoid conspiracy anti-good-ol'-boy-club junkie that I am, i would have found this much funnier if I didn't OWN ONE!!!

But I'm sure you could have a great time with Mario's sushi madness, or the great Amearican Cake-off.

Realistically the system is good, but I agree that they should have found a way to get more of the games that the other systems share and that way it could be its own unique system as well as serving some of the same audience that would want the other two systems.
