The Diarrhea Song: The Mystery Revealed

Have you ever found yourself wondering exactly what did rupture forth from your bowels as you rounded second?  Well I did, and here’s my story……

A few months ago after one of our co-workers soundly shat himself during afternoon break, someone decided to serenade him with” the Diarrhea Song”.  This prompted an argument about some of the more questionable lyrics.  So I did what any sensible modern man does when he has a question.  I turned to Google.  And Google answered.

Here are 2 great websites that list out every lyric you ever heard to this song and many, many, many more that you probably never wanted to hear.   The first link is mainly for the “Baseball Song”.  The second link, and in my opinion the better of the two, takes a more general approach to our favorite childhood song.

Please read and enjoy.  You’ll thank me for it later…..or not.  I really don’t care either way.  Just read it, you know you want to.

Stephen King’s IT is Coming to the Big Screen

It’s official.  One of my favorite Stephen King novels (second only to the Stand) is getting a much needed face lift.  Here’s the official news bite:

Stephen King’s ‘It’ Headed for Theaters. Stephen King’s classic horror novel ‘It’ is getting the big-screen treatment, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The book centers on a group of childhood friends, now adults, who must regroup to battle a creature called It that likes to take the form of a sadistic clown named Pennywise. ‘It’ was the best-selling book of 1986, and in 1990 was adapted into a TV miniseries starring Tim Curry as Pennywise. -Hollywood Reporter

Book

Because Craig and I want to protect our product, we are going to create a graphic novel that we will sell in Barnes and Noble (don’t worry, anyone can produce something there).  However, we will post excerpts and pictures of the characters on this site…exclusive for Derosby Brothers fans (that doesn’t count our wives).

Reaper is Back

Reaper is back on the CW for it’s second season.  If you haven’t gotten a chance to see this show in it’s first season on the air, it’s time you give it a try.  The premise is that main character Sam, a regular guy with a college degree but working at the local “Home Depot” knockoff has a new side job courtesy of his parents.  Due to a contract they signed with Satan himself prior to his birth, his soul is now in the permanent (?) employ of the Devil.

With his 2 friends Sock and Ben helping him, the first season follows Sam’s adventures as he learns his new lot in life, tries to find and do good in his new carrer path (pissing his new “boss” off in the process), trying to figure out why the Devil seems to have taken a shine to Sam (I’m thinking Sam’s FATHER is the Devil’s son, so ol’ scratch is his Grand-dad….), and how he might be able to get out of his contract after all.

Brett Harrison, playing main character and “Reaper” Sam and Tyler Labine as his best friend Sock really set the pace for the whole show.  Playing the show’s third stooge and in my opinion underrated by the producers (they barely show the guy in the commercials) is Rick Gonzales as Sam’s other friend and co-worker Ben.  The three of them channel classic Ackroyd, Murray, Hudson, and Ramis (the Ghostbusters for the non-geek readers out there) but with a younger slacker-boy edge.  Missy Peregrym as Sam’s on-again, off-again love interest and friend Andi is a fanboy’s dream girl; good looking, smart, and shows some understanding (or potential to understand) Sam’s unusual career choice (like hunting down escaped convicts from hell).

The shining star in the cast, however, has got to be Ray Wise.  He plays the Devil with the perfect mix of charm and wit.  The character is perfectly written as well.  Jjust when you start to really like character, he changes his demeanor on a dime to remind us who he really is.

I’ve got the new season 2 opener recorded and ready to watch.  I’ll let you know how it was when I’m finished.  If you haven’t seen it, or enjoyed it last year, give it a try.   You can catch Reaper on the CW, Tuesdays 8/7c, or check it out online at http://www.cwtv.com/shows/reaper.

PS3

“A massive drop in the PlayStation 3 video game console’s price tag, which will lower the cost of Sony’s next-generation game platform US$100, is expected as early as this April according to respected analyst Mike Hickey of Janco Partners.

Hickey says that cutting the PS3’s price down will trigger a significant boost in hardware sales for Sony. If a price drop does happen, that’ll knock to price of the 80GB PlayStation 3 down from $399.99 to $299.99 and the higher-end 160GB model down from $499.99 to $399.99.

If Sony does not cut the price of their console, we expect the continuation of languishing PS3 hardware sales and the potential for publishers to accelerate their reallocation of resources away from the PS3 console. We believe the market is expecting a PS3 price cut in April or by June at the latest.”

So Craig, here is your chance to make a difference.

BTW, there is news on a PS4 and a X Box 720

Jimmy Rollins Commercial

Jimmy Rollin\’s Dick\’s Sporting Goods Commercial

Now to me this was too funny not to add to the site. Particularly the fact that to me it looks like J-Roll is about to burst out laughing. The supportive pat at the end tops it all off…great comedy from a great ball player.

Because my brother wants me to add other funny videos I decided to add the Shaq/Scrabble video. Shaq/Scrabble

And thirdly for my fiance’s sick obsession with Dustin Pedroia.  This is yet another funny sports commercial.  If there are others please draw our attention to them.
