Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen – Decepticons list

I realize it’s been a few weeks, but here are the new Decepticons that will join the roster in this summer’s sure-to-be blockbuster.  I apologize in advance for the large Photoshopped compilation image.  I couldn’t post all of the pictures individually for some reason.

Soundwave:  One of the original G1 Transformers.  He was the intelligence gatherer for Megatron.  He transformed into the “boombox” (not what we called it when we went to the old school, but whatever) and had a complement of cassette tapes that transformed into his little henchmen.  Frenzy from the original movie was one of them.  Ravage, who does appear in this movie, was another.  Despite the fact that he had no personality to speak of on the original show, and sounded like a Cylon Centurion from the ’70′s series Battlestar Galactica, he remains a fan favorite to this day.  Rumor has it Frank Welker, the original voice of Starscream, will be lending his voice for this movie.

Ravage:  Ravage was one of Soundwave’s cassette tapes and was another fan favorite as the first Transformer with an organic-looking second form, a panther (with rocket launcher/jets jutting from his hind end).  He made a surprise appearance in the “Beast Wars” series as an agent for Cybertron (Autobots and Decepticons had come to a tentative peace agreement) hunting down Decepticon stragglers, specifically the ghost of Starscream.

Wheelie:  Made his first appearance in the original movie as a little Autobot “feral child”.   From what I’ve found he is a turncoat working for the Decepticons.

The Doctor:  Don’t really know much about him, but if you’ve tuned for my earlier posts, you know my prediction is that he’s an Insecticon.  From the quick images in the various trailers of Sam strapped to what looks like an operating table with a multi-legged robot hovering over him, my guess is he’s a Dr. Mengele-like evil scientist character.

Devastator:  The 6 Constructicons were introduced to help Megatron build his space bridge on earth.  When the autobots showed up to put an end to it, they were in for a surprise.  The 6 Decepticons had an alternate form, combining to form the mighty Devastator, a gigantic construction-green behemoth and the most powerful Decepticon foe they had ever faced (until the next season).  The Autobots called in their newly-created (and newly-decommissioned for all the trouble they’d caused) Dinobots to save the day.  Back when we first got word Bay was making the Transformers sequel, the two big rumors I kept hearing were that Dinobots and Devastator would be making appearances in this movie.  One of those appears to be true.

That’s all for now.  Thanks for tuning in.

Welcome Frank

If people have noticed, a new poster has been recently leaving comments on our site.  This man is none other than Frank the Tank, an old friend from the school my brother and I currently teach at.  While Keith and i remain at our current haunt, Frank has moved on to bigger and better things up North.  Frank has also traveled with me to Ireland twice, most recently this past April.

We welcome Frank to Derosbybrothers.com and hope he becomes an integral part of this site.  Soon, I will tell the story of Chad Sexington and Frank the Tank’s adventures in the squared circle .  It was the greatest heel turn in MPW history (Messalonskee Professional Wrestling).  Keith might have some comments about it but remember, they will just be him venting his anger and frustration.  Just stick with him loyal reader and support him in his pain.

(Keith, Frank, Mrs. Frank, and Alan)  I can’t believe they let these four wild rapscallions into the UK.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen NEW PICTURE

I’m sure a few of you have seen this already but I hadn’t until this morning.  From what I’ve heard through the grapevine, Optimus Prime is forced to combine with Autobot Jetfire in order to stand up to the Decepticon/Fallen threats that arise in this movie.  Attached is a pic of Optimus in his ”Combined” form.  Enjoy.

Thanks from Derosbybrothers.com

This is just a thank you to all those who have served or are serving our country and defending our freedoms and nation. Without these brave individuals we would not be where we are today.

So take a moment and thank those defenders of this nation and also take a moment to remember those that have fallen keeping us all safe.

Daddy and Baby: Zombie Hunters

After days of watching the news release confusing reports, Alan comes home from work to find his wife infected and now going through the zombification process. With his daughter Sofie and cat Giblet, Alan will go searching for answers…and survivors.

Will his years of Resident Evil play prepare him for the adventure that awaits him?

Mets take 2 of 3

Ok, part of me is very happy that the Mets took two of three from the Red Sox.  I was actually expecting the Mets to be swept but sometimes heart has a lot to do with wins.

Now my biggest concern is the injuries they have.  Let me list them

C:  Brian Schneider, Ramon Castro

1st: Carlos Delgado

SS:  Jose Reyes, Ramon Martinez

OF: Ryan Church

RP:  Frankie Rodriguez

These are the following players out of position:  Gary Sheffield, Daniel Murphy, Oliver Perez

I know everyone says teams all go through this but this is ridiculous.  Their only opening day starters still on the field are David, Wright, Carlos Beltran, and (gulp) Luis Castillo.  Beltran’s knees are bothering him and Castillo hasn’t had a healthy season in years.  I think this is bad for two reasons, yes the injuries are one.  But the bigger issue is the fact that Omar Minaya has no contingency plan at all.  He just gives Manuel major league rejects to use instead of building from within and making trades when he needs to.

They better do something soon before they drop too far out of it.  To look at them and see they are above .500 is a testament to how scrappy and hard working this group is.  Omir Santos has shown he can catch a pitching staff and should actually stay as a starter when those other two rejects make it off the DL.  Daniel Murphy is basically auditioning at 1st base.  Pelfrey is doing well again and Bobby Parnell has shown he is an attribute in the bullpen.

Keep it up Mets.  Hopefully either guys will get healthy or Minaya will do something, anything to help these guys out.

TROTF TV spots

For those of you following the Transformers saga, you might be interested in some new TV spots that have been released. These were pulled from commingsoon.net this morning. Enjoy.

Thoughts on Lost

Ok, now that the season is over I will give you my thoughts on the Season Finale and where I think it can go from here

lost

I did enjoy it a lot, not all of the commercials every two minutes but the show itself. They said people were going to die and they were right…Julia, Sayid, and Locke (again). I was thinking Miles would die but enjoy his character. While many answers were solved, more questions arose.

This is where I think it is going.

If you remember the opening scene, you had two men on the beach of the island, one being Jacob. They discussed a loophole and the fact that one day the other man would find a way to kill Jacob. I think these two represent good and evil. It seems like a game where one tries to outdo the other. I also think they have been there for thousands of years, playing this game. Jacob seems to be good, believing that the human spirit will triumph over evil and will bring men to the island to prove it. I think this was going on for a long time because of the ancient Egyptian statue looking out into the water and also the boat arriving on the island. The boat looked to be 16th century. It also looks like Jacob handpicks his players in this game, as you saw from the flashbacks when he met all the major characters.

I don’t really understand the loophole that got the second man back on the island, as the character of Locke, but obviously it has something to do with taking over a body of a dead person. Does that mean that Christian, Jack’s dad, is also evil or part of this game?

I do think Jacob, as the form of Jacob, is dead. Who will take the place of him?

Jack

I think that is his destiny. Jack and Locke, as Jack and Locke, faced off in the first few seasons. Now they will face off as the two men, good and evil.

What do people think? Post your ideas.

Netflix online viewing…

I know I haven’t posted as religiously as I would like but I just wanted to add my recommendation for online viewing that Netflix offers. Not only does this feature allow me to view older films on my computer but it allows me to find some more current, yet less noteworthy titles to watch while I await the arrival of my other films in the mail. I have been able to watch such films as “Hatchet” and am waiting to view “My Name Is Bruce” which I might never have viewed otherwise. Two thumbs up to this option…if you have a Netflix account.
