Disney buys Marvel

800px-Marvel-character-composit-thumb-570x327

This just in….Disney purchased Marvel comics for four billion dollars.  That is right, it is time we see the ultimate team of Mickey Mouse and Captain America?  Belle going after a new Beast?  This is just too much to wrap my head around at this time.  The possibilities seem endless.  I do have two questions:

1.  Does this mean Disney owns the rights to the movies as well?  I know Marvel created their own company to bring their characters to life.

2.  What happens to Universal Studios and the whole section of Marvel characters?  Would they dare shut down the Spiderman ride?

Ok, Universal the ball is in your court.  Buy DC, make a whole virtual ride using Batman villains, and push forward.  Also the Harry Potter theme park section will be out next fall.

Here is the actual article
