I’m Batman – WalMart’s Commercial for Arkham City

My wife accidentally let slip last week that she pre-ordered Batman Arkham City for me. My wife has now become my favorite person on the planet (sorry kids, you lose) and I cannot wait to get my hands on this game. I may have to burn a few vacation days. My friend Torrey posted this up on his Facebook page and I had to share it. Here’s Walmart’s commercial for Batman Arkham City along with a few wallpapers to tide you over until the game’s release on October 18th. Enjoy.

Batman: Arkham City New 10 Minute Gameplay Clip

This game looks more amazing with every bit of information released.  The only thing that bothers me is the animation on Catwoman’s face, which looks choppy.  And she’s got creepy-eye going on.  Everything else is stunning.  Two-Face, Catwoman, Joker, Hugo Strange, The Riddler, Talia Al Ghul, Mr. Freeze, what more could you want from a Batman game?  Penguin maybe?

The original was considered by many reviewers to be the best comic book based video game of all time (not that there has ever been much competition in that genre).  This looks to top it.  I’m reserving my copy, and I recommend you do the same.

Take a look at the clip below and weigh in.

As usual, thanks to Comingsoon.net for sharing this with us.

New Green Lantern Trailer, shown at WonderCon 2011

Okay, now this is better. I’m starting to think this one might be worth the hype now.

Green Lantern Trailer

Thanks to ComicsAlliance for posting up the new (or will be on Friday) trailer for Green Lantern.  I have to admit it looks way better than I thought it would.

Young Justice: Coming Soon to a Cartoon Network Near You

Young Justice is one of the new series to premiere on Cartoon Network this fall and will fill the slot left vacant by the recently-cancelled “Batman: The Brave and the Bold”, which I can’t say I’m sorry to see go. You know a series is in trouble when the only entertaining character on the show is Aquaman.

This show is similar to the Teen Titans but on a more serious bent, and is based upon both the DC comic of the same name, the Teen Titans (both comic and show), and other characters who’ve appeared in the DC universe over the years. To give themselves a bit of artistic license with both the story and the characters, the writers have based the show to take place on Earth-16.

The team includes their leader Aqualad, Robin (the Dick Grayson version), Kid Flash (Wally West?  there’s that artistic license I was talking about earlier), Superboy, Miss Martian, and Artemis (an updated Arrowette?).  The video shows Speedy/The Red Arrow and I thought it mentioned Wonder Girl as well.  It also boasts regular appearances by the Justice League members as well, including Superman, Batman, Green Arrow, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter.

Based upon some of the images I’ve seen, the animation looks fantastic. I hope the show does “Teen Titans” justice as it is still among the list of favorites at this house.

Here’s the Comic-Con spot.  Not much of a preview per-say, but more of an interview with the creators.  It’s pretty good all the same.  Click on the image above to play the video or on this link:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiOjAmXDjW4
